The Queen and her court will represent the City of Florissant to the St. Louis community.
A panel of impartial judges will select one of these ladies as the 2011 Valley of Flowers Queen. The judges will also select four additional ladies to join the Queen as her Court. The responsibilities of the Queen and her Court do not end with the Valley of Flowers. Throughout the year they will participate in parades and events representing the City of Florissant.

These ladies are residents of the City of Florissant who are juniors in high school. They have not previously been candidates for the Valley of Flowers Festival court. They are sponsored in their efforts by various local business and organizations. The Festival committee thanks them, their sponsors, and their high schools for their participation in the Festival.
The candidates will be interviewed by a panel of impartial judges. The judges make the selection of the Queen and her court. The Queen and her court will be announced after the Festival Parade on Sunday, May 6. The formal announcement and crowning takes place at the large pavilion located on the Duchesne Knights of Columbus grounds at 50 Rue Saint Francois Street. (This is also the site which has the carnival rides and games as well as other family attractions.)
